SEVENTY YEARS AGO, J. Bres Eustis gathered his initiative, along with degrees from Tulane and Harvard, to begin practice in a fledgling civil engineering discipline called geotechnical engineering. At the time, only a handful of engineers were practicing in this field. Now, five presidents later, Mr. Eustis’ early efforts have paid off: Eustis Engineering has long had deep roots in Gulf Coast soil.
This month, as we celebrate 70 years in business, I am stepping down as company President but will remain active in our engineering practice. Randy Eustis, the son of founder J. Bres Eustis, takes the reins as I continue as Chairman of the Board of Directors and adviser to Randy. I am confident our next generation of engineers and our remarkable vice presidents will provide Randy with leadership, continuity, and vision for the future.
SINCERELY,
WILLIAM W. GWYN, P.E.
