Eustis Engineering has provided geotechnical services to a wide variety of clients for more than 65 years. One aspect of geotechnical services includes drilling soil borings at various project sites. Eustis Engineering can drill both 3 and 5-in. diameter borings in land, marsh, swamp, and marine environments. Our drilling personnel operate:

• All rigs are mounted with 4.5 x 5 Gardner Denver Duplex Mud Pumps;
• Skid only and Skid Capable Rigs can be mounted on marsh buggies, elevating boats, and pontoons;
• All rigs capable of sampling use the following type of samplers listed below:

1. 3" & 5" Fixed Piston Shelby Tube Sampling
2. 2" and 3" Split Spoon
3. Osterberg Sampler
4. Pitcher Sampler
   
   

In addition to drilling and sampling, other field activities performed by our drill crews include:

• Field reconnaissance to determine the equipment necessary to gain access to the boring locations;
• Setting permanent benchmarks;
• Installing instrumentation (piezometers, slope inclinometers, and settlement plates or plugs); and
• Installing monitoring wells.
