Eustis Engineering has provided geotechnical services to a wide variety of clients for more than 60 years. One aspect of geotechnical services includes drilling soil borings at various project sites. Eustis Engineering can drill both 3 and 5-in. diameter borings in land, marsh, swamp, and marine environments. Our drilling personnel operate:

• Six Failing wet rotary drill rigs, truck and skid mounted;
• Two Diedrich D-50 wet rotary drill rigs, truck and track mounted; and
• One Geonor downhole vane shear.

In addition to drilling and sampling, other field activities performed by our drill crews include:

• Field reconnaissance to determine the equipment necessary to gain access to the boring locations;
• Setting permanent benchmarks;
• Installing instrumentation (piezometers, slope inclinometers, and settlement plates or plugs); and
• Installing monitoring wells.
