Eustis Engineering recently completed a geotechnical exploration at the University of New Orleans (UNO). This was not only a job, but a trip down memory lane. UNO is alma mater to a large percentage of Eustis employees including more than half of our professional engineers, notably Gwen Sanders (President), Chad Held (Executive VP), and Travis Richards (VP of Testing).
A portion of the drilling was located right next to the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) UNO Student Chapter Concrete Canoe Garden. Concrete Canoe is a competition between civil engineering students to design and build a canoe made of concrete. Gwen Sanders and many others participated in this event during their time at UNO.
