Project Engineer Karishma Desai, PE, of Eustis Engineering Services, L.L.C., has been named Outstanding Young Civil Engineer by the New Orleans Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
Ms. Desai began working with Eustis Engineering in 2012. Prior to joining Eustis Engineering, Ms. Desai worked at geotechnical engineering firms in northern Florida, totaling 10 years of experience in civil engineering. As a project engineer for Eustis Engineering, Ms. Desai performs geotechnical engineering analyses and prepares recommendations based on her findings.
In 2002, Ms. Desai earned a BS in civil engineering from the University of Central Florida and an MS in structures and geotechnical engineering from the University of Central Florida in 2004.
Ms. Desai is an active member of ASCE and serves as treasurer for the New Orleans Branch. She was honored on 14 July 2015 at the Annual ASCE Awards Banquet held at the Chateau Country Club in Kenner, Louisiana.
